Centura College Virginia Beach Warren Truss Engineering Paper

I’m working on a engineering Capstone and need an explanation to help me learn.

For our truss. we have chosen to do the PRATT truss. Please write up about the different truss designs we have considered for the REPORT. ( 2-3 pages single spaced. please include all references used)

the trusses we have considered at the beginning was.:

–Pratt truss

-Warren Truss

– Howe truss.

The most were considered was the Pratt and warren. but the most most was Pratt. 

“So from what I’ve been reading the Pratt truss and the warren are the two best. The advantage of the Pratt is that the vertical supports make the truss stronger. The advantage of the warren is that it uses less material so it is more cost effective. Based on this I think the Pratt is the better option because we don’t have that long of a span so our cost is already comparatively low.”
