You are writing a business plan or grant application. It may be real or totally imaginary. It may be something you could conceivably undertake in the very near future or it could be something you wouldn’t be prepared to do for several years. The point is not how real/imagined or soon/distant it is – rather, the point is to conduct research into these types of products, organize your ideas accordingly, and practice the specific professional writing that is the genre of business proposals.

Conduct research on purposes, types and approaches for Business Plans and Grant Applications:

You must include in your final draft the template, example or model you used to compose your business plan or grant application, and that is what your product will be graded against. Keep in mind you are not being graded for merely mirroring but for choosing the best features for your idea and adjusting accordingly, though always with genre elements in tact and excellent grammar, writing style and attention to detail.

Reflection Narrative

The length of your business plan or grant application depends on what is standard and suggested for your industry and idea. Regardless of the length of the plan or application, also write a one-page reflection on the process of researching and composing this type of document – what was challenging, what came naturally, what you found motivating, and what you rather dread having to do again someday.
