Make them in 2 different file

The first one :

In the handful of stories we have read lately, we focused our discussions on “meaning”–what does part of the story mean, what is the significance of the colors in this section, etc.

Choose any story from the book, and develop your idea about what you think the story means. You can discuss a portion of the story, if you prefer.

Just like in our class discussions, support your idea with the clues you find in the text.

Aim for 150 words

the second question :

In “To Spin a Yarn: the Female Voice in Folklore and Fairy Tale,” Karen E. Rowe explores the idea of the female storyteller, offering as support Ovid’s Metamorphosis and the idea of weaving a story and Scheherazade and the idea that stories can change history or save a life. There is much in this essay to which you can respond.

Read the essay, and mark comments you agree with and mark comments you disagree with or have a serious question about. Then, choose the one quote/section that most interests you or emotionally engages you, and work through the steps below.

  1. Include the quote, exactly as it appears in the essay by Rowe.
