Case Study: How corporations are using Corporate Social Responsibility to gain competitive advantage

“CSR as a Competitive Strategy. Analyze the methods in which corporations are embracing CSR (think Patagonia and Veja), and explain how some of the more progressive companies are not disadvantaged from this ethical approach, but instead are thriving ahead of their competition.

Your goal is to put together short case studies for 3 companies not discussed in this course.”The paper requirements from the professor are:

2.Paragraph spacing 1.2.

3. No ore than a 300 word abstract in the front of the paper.

4. A two paragraph summary of the research, and findings.

5. Atleast 10 peer-reviewed journals need to be cited. All other citations are welcomed and they include but are not limited to company webpage, government webpages, online research not peer reviewed, newspapers, magazines, and white papers.

When citing the textbook or assigned reading material, ONLY use the material I have uploaded and not an alternate revision, year or publication. It is OK to cite other outside relevant sources when OUTSIDE scholarly sources are requested.

DO NOT cite from any source from India! I have received too many papers with all citations from Indian sources which professors have questioned. I have decided to ban them all from now on. Follow APA style. Make sure you don’t have any APA format errors (e.g. running header, alphabetic resource list, etc.)

Cite ALL facts and claims. Write in THIRD person (formal) ONLY. When answering a question/requirement, introduce what the concept is and why it is important before laying out how it will fit with this exact instance. Please ONLY use US American English, phrases, idioms (e.g. Use “Ad” or “Campaign” and not “Advert”; “Rent” a car and not “Hire” a car).

Also make sure you use articles (a, an, the) in the same manner following American English (“the hospital” instead of just “hospital” or “a university” instead of just “uni”).

Please do not use any reference to being at locations outside of Southern California from a writer’s perspective, locations from a company or brand perspective are ok. (e.g. Don’t mention shopping in a store in Tampa Fl. however, you can mention the fact that the company sells products nationally or internationally as their business practice if they do so).

Here is the feedback from the outline (Mod 6): Market Mix Section—”Good use of subheadings for further organization I would had the next level of subheadings by including each of the marketing strategy areas in bold font.””You want to outline a bit more about the target market for this product.”, Target Market Section: “You want to outline a bit more about the target market for this product.”, Product Positioning Section—”Good method to take two areas of concern.

How about safety, comfortably, quality and ability to hold passengers?”, Competitive Analysis Section—”a good way to demonstrate this topic is using a perceptual map comparing different brands of motor bikes.” Overall it got 100% and was well received.

Please add these to the paper and remember to focus on the topics learned this term.
