The work should be presented in report format and include any relevant diagrams, images, illustrations and / or photography to support the work, where appropriate.
Your final report should be approximately 1,500 words (excluding any appendices).
The report must be referenced in accordance with the Harvard Referencing System. This includes in text referencing of all your sources and a full list of references at the end of the report.
FURTHER GUIDANCE:
In your report you may wish to answer the following questions:
- When was the building likely to have been initially constructed?
- What was the likely construction method?
- Is there evidence of any significant interventions, changes of use, alterations,
adaptations and / or extensions etc?
The best reports will demonstrate:
- Evidence of research (including Harvard referencing), reading and effort.
- Evidence of understanding of the fundamental forms and characteristics of
historic building construction technology.
- Evidence of understanding of the buildings history and development derived
from archive sources and the fabric of the building itself.
- Production of a well-structured and coherent professional report, including
cover page, table of contents, sub headings, page numbers and illustrative material (ie: figures, which must also be referenced).
