Capstone Project Poster Presentation

Learners will prepare a professional poster presentation that provides a thorough synopsis of the project and the recommendations or outcomes generated. The purpose of the presentation is to provide the preceptor and other key stakeholders a project summary that supports review and consideration of actions to be taken as a result of project completion. Learners are challenged to prepare a presentation that ensures that the target audience, as defined by the preceptor, is fully briefed via the presentation on project recommendations and/or outcomes.

Instructions:

  • Learners should present a poster that explains the project. Presentations will be delivered via recorded mp4 using slides and presenter being “on camera.”
  • Maximum presentation length: 10 minutes

    Tips:

    • Carefully identify any data or information that is considered confidential. Discuss this with your preceptor
    • Follow the order from the paper of: Problem Definition, Discovery, Methodology, Data Collection, Analysis, Evaluating Alternatives, Conclusions and Recommendations
    • Clearly document on the poster data sources/references used; all posters need to have at least 4 references
    • Incorporate appreciation and acknowledgments of employees, stakeholders, and/or contributors who supported the successful completion of the project
    • Ensure that the poster narrative can be presented within the maximum allotted presentation time
    • Utilize best practices regarding presentation design, graphics, look and flow. The presentation is expected to be at professional business level
