students will be required to submit a 7 page paper describing their group process from both the Group Presentation and the simulated group counseling experience.The paper should include a discussion of the development of the group (using concepts and principles discussed in class and in the readings), group dynamics, group norms, your role in the group, what you learned about yourself and the group process, and other pertinent information.The main purpose is to allow you an opportunity to reflect on your experiences in these different groups and what you have learned about yourself in the process.All ideas presented should be tied to group counseling/process theory and the research supporting it.Papers will be graded on the thoroughness of your discussion, your understanding of the concepts and the research, your willingness to look at yourself and your behavior in a group context, and professional appearance (APA style with citations and references). While this paper will be largely based on your own experiences you should have a minimum of 5 references from research articles to support your paper. This paper should draw on other projects from the course, but it should not be simply a combination of those projects .
