Write a research paper exploring an issue in a cause/effect manner. Your paper should explore the issue in one of the cause/effect formats we have discussed. You will either take an issue and trace what you think it’s causes are, or you can take a cause and trace the possible effects of it in the future.
Requirements: Your paper must meet the following guidelines:
- Driven by a contestable thesis
- Academically and ethically incorporate 4-5 academic sources (ONE may be from a credible website)
- 5-6 pages in length
- MLA format (which means it will also contain a works cited page)
Additional information: An effective research paper does the following:
- Provides an overview of the issue that creates context for the reader. This may include, but is not limited to, defining key terms or providing relevant historical information,
- Makes clear your stance on the issue and supports that stance with relevant and academic research
- Acknowledges and refutes or qualifies other sides of the argument
- Wraps up the paper effectively and makes clear why this issue is important
