California Online & Mobile References Provide Reliable Information in Healthcare Ques

I’m working on a public health question and need support to help me understand better.

1. How are the online information resources changing the face of traditional library resources

2. Please explain why search engines (like Google) are/are not enough to obtain medical/healthcare information.

3. Share your perspectives on use of online and mobile references accessible to healthcare workers today. Examples of mobile references include: NLMmobile, (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mobile-app/), Epocrates, Up-to-Date, and many other new web-based and mobile/iPhone/iPad/anroid reference apps.

4. Select one of the data standards listed in the following examples and discuss how use of this data standard helps healthcare professionals to communicate better by speaking the same language. Examples include: HL7, CCD, ICD9, ICD10, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNORM, NCPDP, and CPT.
