In the previous module, we talked about some creative and important ways of recruiting. Once you get applicants to knock on your door, now we focus on the selection process in Chapter 6. The attached article is about tenured faculty hiring at CSU Channel Islands and its integrated approach in their selection process. While this article is from a few years ago, it is still worth reading to make you think about the selection process and how much time, money, and resources an organization is willing to invest in this process.

Submit your responses to the following questions:
- What do you think of the extensive selection process and approach used by CSU Channel Islands? Do you think it is worth the investment of time, money and resources? Why or why not?
- Have you ever been a part of a selection process similar to this or been a part of any other interesting selection processes (on either side)? Please describe the process. Do you feel it was effective? Note- if you have not experienced anything like this, do some research instead about selection processes and see what you can find that may work and share it.
