Instructions: It is challenging to create a resume that shows our strengths and appeals to a potential employer. And our resumes look different at different stages in our career. Someone applying for their first post-college professional position may use different strategies than someone who is mid-career. But all resumes benefit from attention to the needs and interests of the employer, from specific details than make experience stand out, and from a visual design that is attractive and easy to read. For this assignment, you will analyze a resume from someone who has just completed an MBA. Though I have changed the name and personal information of the applicant and the names of the organizations he worked for (and all the dates), the rest comes from a resume that was used by someone who successfully earned a job at Cisco.
For this exercise, read this resume and prepare an analysis in which you consider such elements as the organization of the document, the use of detail, attention to the needs of a prospective employer, use of formatting and style, and the visual appeal. Consider both strengths and weaknesses of the documents. The exercise should be a minimum of 400 words in length. Exercise 15 should be submitted as an attachment in Word and is due on Wednesday, March 10, by 11:59 PM.
