WRITING ASSIGNMENT: Take the Press of AC news story about Ocean City BYOBs and convert it into a TV news report. Write a TV news story package. This should include copy for an anchor providing a lead-in, a reporter doing both a voice-over while we see visuals as well as stand-up reporting, one or more interviews or shots in which people are talking, and a description of visuals. The report should be written in the correct TV script format.

Everything in your report should come from the Press of Atlantic City story, but anything in the story can be used. For example, if a person is quoted, that can be your on-camera interview. If people are described as sipping wine in a restaurant, that can be one of your visuals. B-roll can be shorts of restaurant signs or exteriors or shots of Ocean City. Interview footage does not require the reporter talking or conducting the interview, only that someone else be shown talking.

short sentences

Because we have not spent a lot of time on this and it is not common writing for this program, we are not expecting professional-level quality. Grading will look simply for the presence of the required qualities.
