BMCC Similarities between the World of Oceania in 1984 & Modern Society Discussion

I’m working on a english writing question and need a sample draft to help me study.

THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO READ THE NOVEL GEORGE ORWELL 1984.

Choose ONE and only one of the following. First, you will think about the ideas here, and choose one prompt. Carefully craft a sentence outline and write your first paragraph

Write a sentence outline and one paragraph to one of these questions☟︎☟︎☟︎☟︎Answer one please. Thank you.

1. Many people think that our modern world has become much like the world of Oceania in 1984. Do you think that there are some significant similarities between the two or not? Explain, using examples from both the novel and modern society. You might want to use newspapers or other current sources as your secondary source, to help you illustrate and explain your ideas.

2. If love is an expression of openness and is an expansive and inclusive human experience, what happens to it when expression is brutally restricted? Can love become an act of rebellion under such circumstances? What kind of commentary is Orwell making about the bonds of family in a totalitarian society? You will research secondary sources on totalitarianism, perhaps.
