1) An important concept discussed in this chapter is the relationship between IT workers and society. Find a relevant news article/paper concerning an Information Technology (IT) company (or individual) and the impact their actions (via a single product/service or their actions collectively) have had on society.
2) Post a hyperlink to the news article/paper.
3) Write approximately 250 words summarizing the article and analyzing the article by explaining what practices the IT company is engaging in and how this relates to the relationship between IT workers and society discussed in the text. What stakeholders are most directly impacted by this/these actions? Why did the IT company decide to engage in this society-impacting behavior? Does the fact that their is no overarching national standard to protect the public have an impact on the issue you are discussing? Why or why not?
