Business Intelligence Project, Chapter 2
Using the Business Intelligence Project you started in chapter 1, insert a manual page break at the end of the document to start a new page.
For this section, you will be describing different types of data your business may want to collect in the process of doing business, how you might analyze and visualize that data, and how you might monitor that data on a continual basis.
More specifically:
- Thinking about the types of business that takes place on a daily basis, describe several types of data you may encounter and collect. Give specific examples that would apply to your business.
- For these different types of data, what do you want to do with it? What type of analysis might you conduct? What is the purpose of collecting this data?
- Looking at the different types of charts described in this chapter, what charts(graphs) do you think would best represent the data you’re analyzing? Why?
- List at least 3 things you want to consider including on your business dashboard. Describe why these items are important to monitor regularly. Include a drawing illustrating your potential dashboard. You don’t need actual graphs, you can insert and resize shapes in Word, and label them.
When you have finished, save your document (It should include the pages from chapter 1.) and submit it in the Chapter 2 Business Project submission box. The document should continue using the same footer created in chapter 1.
Remember to continue with the same formatting you used in the first chapter:
- Times New Roman, 12 point font
- One-inch margins
- Double spaced, no extra space before or after paragraphs
- Correct spelling and punctuation
- Complete sentences, One-half inch first line paragraph indention.
