the following creative projects. Regardless of which option you chose to complete, you must demonstrate your

creative component with an explanation/defense of AT LEAST ONE PARAGRAPH. This written piece should show why
you’ve made the choices you have and highlight your knowledge of the play.
Option 1: Wedding bells (or not) Will Beneatha in fact marry Asagai? Either, write the wedding vows the couple will exchange at their wedding (at least one paragraph for each character) OR write a letter from
Beneatha of at least one page in length to Asagai explaining her decision NOT to marry him.
Option 2: College application process. After asking his son what he wants to be when he grows up, Walter
starts actively daydreaming about the day that Travis goes to college. Pretend that it is years later and Travis is
writing his college admissions essay. Speculate on the experiences that Travis will encounter that he finds
meaningful and what he now wants to pursue when he grows up. Answer one of the Common App essay
questions as if you were Travis. This should be about a page in length and reference what college he wants to
attend/what he would study there.
Do not look for things on the internet or just use others’ ideas. MLA format.
