The project will center on your submitting a grant proposal to receive funding for a social entrepreneurship venture that impacts efforts to improve conditions related to COVID-19. A list of grant options can be found at: org/skoll-foundation-covid-response/#grants“>https://skoll.org/skoll-foundation-covid-response/#grants. This is not an exhaustive list and you may identify other options, but this does give you a broad spectrum of options. The project is less about your being a professional grant writer. It is more about your having an understanding about what constitutes a social entrepreneurship venture and your documenting the steps that validate your venture as a viable option. Given the collective experience we all have gone through in 2020, providing a solution to one of the COVID-19 needs of society at large, is a great way to show your understanding of the concepts. You will be expected to cite your work – including the textbook. But also you will need to engage with additional sources that offer more insight into the solution you seek to provide through the grant. What to expect: The best way I can help you be successful with this project is to provide a clear rubric. Though I will be looking for certain APA elements, because this is a grant proposal, it will not be written as a typical paper and therefore some APA elements will not apply. |

Helpful resource from CARE. This organization does outstanding work and is headquartered here in Atlanta. Give particular attention to Section 3 –> https://care.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Social_Enterprise_Learning_Document_2013.pdf
