The definition that I identify with the most is Ashoka definition. Everyone is a change maker is what I really got from it. The entrepreneur must seek to find an answer for the whole societal scale. The entrepreneur will not rest until they get the answer they need. Next a systemic change will have to happen. Changes can happen quickly which will effect everything for the better (hopefully) and also raise the morale since there is a change finally happening. Everyone’s goal should be to create a better system whether that means fast or more efficient.

After reading through chapter 1 about the different definitions and views on social entrepreneurship, I think I would say that I mostly identify with the Ashoka definition.  This type of social entrepreneur can make small changes in a short amount of time that will help the current system that will hopefully make a great change in the system in the long run.  In my mind the world I try to make small changes for would be mostly my place of work.  I am always trying to find ways to make the office run smoother and make every ones day go a little bit better.  To me finding the most efficient way to do things is important, so if I find something that just does not makes sense,I use creativity to find a way to improve it and then show and teach it to the others.

Activism is basically determination of continuous effort effecting a college, trying to come up with a solution and it is also combative. Social entrepreneurship is a strong feeling for a change. The difference between the two is activists is a response to a one issue challenge and the other is a huge social issue that needs a solution within the community.

FAfter reading about the five dimensions of social entrepreneurship I would have to say one of the most important dimensions is the entrepreneurial spirit.  The entrepreneurial spirit is the drive and push behind the growth of the business and the force behind the expansion or the change being made.  If the entrepreneurial spirit is low and weak then there will not be any drive or push for the change or the business. Things will be at a stand still with no changes being made in a timely manner.  If the spirit is high and the entrepreneur has a strong passion for the change and the business then things will change and move quickly.  The entrepreneur needs to have drive and a want and need for their dream otherwise the dream will not become a reality.  Without a great positive spirit there is nothing to pursue.
