I have attached a powerpoint to give you an idea of what you must have in my assignment
For this unit’s assigment, I would like you to make an athlete profile. You can use yourself as a reference, your favorite athlete, or a make-believe athlete. This profile should consist of the following:
- athlete’s name
- age
- weight
- sport
- typical duration and intensity of training.
Based on the aforementioned characteristics, your next task is to make a diet plan for a typical day of training, utilizing the information that you have learned this week. Include information on how many grams of carbohydrates/protein that this person needs to consume before and after training to build and restore glycogen and protein stores based on their weight and activity intensity/duration. Please give specific examples of foods that your athlete should eat to replenish energy stores. Please also explain how you came to your diet plan.
In summary your diet plan should include the following:
- What is your athlete’s EER based on their weight/height/activity duration and intensity? (Show your work) (3pts)
- How many grams of carbohydrates/proteins/fats should this person eat a day? (3pts)
- What should this athlete’s pre-workout meal/snack look like and when should it be consumed? (3pts)
- What macronutrients and how many grams of these macronutrients should be included in this meal/snack?
- What are some good food options available that fulfill this energy requirement?
- What, if anything, should your athlete consume during physical activity? (3pts)
