ASU The Learning Process Throughout the Course Final Reflective Memorandum

Today’s class is devoted to working on the Final Reflective Memo (3 pages). This will be the first piece in your Final Portfolio, and I will ask you to submit a rough draft of it to a peer review blog on Friday so that you can receive some feedback about it from your classmates. The directions are essentially the same as at midterm, except that you will now be reflecting on your learning through the whole course, including the second half of the semester. It is okay to include some of the ideas from the midterm memo as well (lists of goals, descriptions of assignments, etc.), but you should recontextualize them, looking back from your current perspective at the end of the course.

In terms of format for this assignment, you can still use a memo-style heading, subheadings, single-spaced paragraphs, and bulleted or numbered lists as you design your memo. In terms of content, you have some choices. Some students focus on describing their processes of learning to write by using the major assignments as examples, while others choose to also discuss their experiences with exercises, drafts, and peer reviews. Either approach is fine! Just remember to reflect on what you have learned, and to use specific examples to explain how you have learned. Additionally, you could address goals for your writing that you have met and goals that you have for the future. Also I have to comment into 2 students work.
