Find the video for “Hard work Pays Off”  — pg 6.

 

And please answer the following:

 

 

 

 

 

1.  What did you learn — about?

 

 

 

  1. Opportunities and when they show up
  2. The value of hard work and attitude
  3. Taking advantage of networks.

 

 

 

2.  Here is my take:

 

 

 

A.  When I hired people I wanted to make sure the individual had an excellent work ethic

 

B.  Once I saw that I wanted to see how that individual handles people – where they polite and careful – did the situation become a win, etc.

 

C.  When an opportunity opens up grab it – you do not get too many

 

D.   Michael was a student in my Intermediate Accounting class.  He seemed to understand a lot of the subject matter and asked excellent questions.  These questions were particularly interesting to me as they were probing as if he wanted the information for a reason.  So I asked him about his background.  When I learned it – night manager at Quizmos and thence to this position, I was impressed and asked him if he minded sharing this with others.  Naturally he said he would share.

 

E.  When your opportunity comes by, will you see it, will you grab it and will you be prepared.

 

 

 

3.  Look up “Emotional Intelligence” and answer:

  2. Rate yourself on it

  3. Does Michael have it

     

    4.  Look up “Freudian Mechanisms of Defense” and answer the following:

     

 

  1. What are they
  2. Are there mature ones and immature mechanisms of defense
  3. Rate yourself as to use of mature or immature use in your life

 

 

 

5.  What do you think a bout these ideas?
