Assignment #2 – Scope Statement/Priorities

Instructions:

Answer Exercise Question #2 for chapter 4.

Identify real life examples of a project that would fit each of the following priority scenarios:  

1. Scenario A: Time-constrain, Scope-enhance, Cost-accept

2. Scenario B: Time-accept, Scope-constrain, Cost-accept

3. Scenario C: Time-constrain, Scope-accept, Cost-enhance

Provide a two paragraph introduction to the value and how-to-use a Project Priority Matrix.

Create three tables with headings in a Word document similar to Figure 4.2 on page 112, one for each of the priority scenarios in the Exercise. You will only need three scenarios in total.

Instead of using the circles as seen in Figure 4.2, enter text paragraphs explaining precisely why your three projects would fit the corresponding priority scenario.

Cite your sources.

The Topic Paper assignment

• Justify how this topic supports what has been learned throughout the health and human services degree program.
• Must be two double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references) and formatted according to APA Style
• Must include a separate title page with the following:
  • Title of paper
  • Student’s name
  • Course name and number
  • Instructor’s name
  • Date submitted
• Must utilize academic voice.
• Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.
• Must use at least one scholarly resource
• Must document any information used from sources in APA Style
• Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA Style

In your Research Paper you will:

• Identify a theory or theoretical perspective that explains your topic.
• Present the results of your literature review.
• Draw conclusions and/or make recommendations that address problems in your topic.
