Ashford University Experimental Designs and Causality Discussion

I’m working on a business discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Explain what is meant by a causal claim and what is it about experimental designs that allow the justification of a causal claim. The philosopher David Hume (for example) reports that we are never able to justify a causal claim (C CAUSES B) since all we can perceive is constant concurrence where instances of E have always followed instances of C. But this does not imply causality. For example, night has always followed day but we are not justified in saying that day causes night and one day this will not happen. In this post, defend the claim that only experimental designs can result in justifiable causal claims.
