Look up the definition of the word “aesthetics” in your textbook. This week, pay attention to aesthetic experiences you have; look for the beauty in every day events. How can you experience ordinary life events aesthetically? How can pouring cream into your coffee, for example, be beautiful?
Your assignment is to show your understanding of the meaning of aesthetics by writing descriptively about an aesthetic experience. English class will be helpful here; use similes, metaphors, descriptive adjectives. Choose a moment out of your week in which you experienced and appreciated fully the beauty of what you see.
