In an essay, present a challenge you have attempted to change. The challenge could be related to a personal, organizational, or community issue.
When considering this challenge:
- Explore the cultural assumptions about it, the leadership approaches taken regarding the challenge, and the formal and informal players regarding the planning, orchestration, and implementation of the change.
- Explain your perceptions about the attempts to change it.
- Explain why you believe a particular leadership approach was taken to address the challenge.
- Identify the organizational structure that served to coordinate functions and efforts (Mulholland, 2017).
- Explore who were the formal and informal players involved and why the change efforts failed or how they have succeeded (Kotter, 1995).
In a 3-5 page paper, please address the assignment questions, integrate our week’s sources (and other sources you believe enrich your illustrations), conversations, and experiences, and enlist current APA style and format (no abstract necessary).
Below is the challenge that I’ve attempted to change
Every day is innovative at Amazon for me but most recently I initiated a project within my specific department at my fulfillment center. I identified that one of the biggest barriers that my associates faced was outdated equipment which not only affected them directly but also affected the time that our customers have to wait to receive their packages. I implemented an entire revamp of our department which actually got approved by senior management and is currently in the works. At first, I was fearful that this project idea was too far fetched but the senior management loved it and I now have built a better rapport with my team and have earned more of their respect.
