Architect – Setting a Baseline, application homework help

Before you can
create a solution, you need to fully understand the problem. In
technical architecture, this is known as the “as-is” model. In other
words, you work with the client to determine how the system currently
works, then build a model (using an Architecture Design Language for
your diagram) to create a document establishing a baseline from which
you will create your solution.

With input from the client, create
an “as-is” model of the Inisope company directory service using
Archimate. Include a 1-2 page document to support and explain your
model.

NOTE: Updating a company directory involves more than just
changing a record. For example, if someone is fired they are taken out
of the payroll database, removed from the employee directory and if
their position isn’t going away, Human Resources will have to post a job
ad for a new employee. Give this exercise a lot of thought.
