In the last assignment you began to delve more deeply in creating a UWP app and experiencing the complexity of the underlying foundation. Hopefully you were successful in creating your fist app – the calculator. I realize that you relied heavily on the tutorials and other web material to create the app— I expect that in the future much of what you are learning now will become second nature. You should continue to use MS Blend in all of your assignments to get more acquainted with the software and to add a professional look to submitted apps.
Be careful in writing your summaries for chapters in your final project. If I put a comment on graded submissions, pay particular attention for future chapters as a I am expecting an improvement in that area.
This module will continue the development of apps. It will include navigation protocols to other pages in your app ( intra app navigation not inter app navigation), creating virtual keyboards, global vs local variables and additional XAML objects. You will also create an account on GitHub and see what it has to offer, begin looking at objects and become a more mature app designer and programmer.
A mid-term exam will be administered remotely. Look for an announcement on the date and time(s). Also be aware of grade weights for each drop box ( pts vary from 1 – 10).
