The Question: Evil is a main theme in two of the nineteenth-century works we have studied this semester, Wuthering Heights and ‘The Beach of Falesá.’ Discuss the theme of evil in these works and its depiction in relation to good. Examine the different ways the depiction of evil offers social criticism. Support your answer by citing examples from your works.
