Question:

1- At the beginning of this course, we studied the ḥadīth on intention, of which, the author (Ibn Rajab) began his discussion by stating that many scholars deemed this ḥadīth and another two (the ḥadīths on innovation, and halal and haram) as representative of the teachings of Islam. For this paper, I would like you to explain why Ibn Rajab and others reached this opinion and understanding. This is an open-ended question that requires a developed answer. As such, you are free to choose which aspects of the above three ḥadīths to use as evidence to support your arguments.
