The goal of your essay is to write an essay in which you “analyze” the Rhetorical Strategies used by Anthony S. Fauci and 2 others – (you can choose any other published writers or public speakers who address issues within Covid-19 virus using different rhetorical strategies if you see that he used a lot of rhetorical strategies while talking about covid-19 , I suggest those personalities: Leader of U.S. vaccine Dr MONCEF SLAOUI, The Director of the World Health Organization Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus )- published writers or public speakers who address issues within Covid-19 virus using various rhetorical strategies. What kind of diction and language do they use? Is their writing or discourse directed at a highly educated or less educated audience? Do they rely on a formal or informal structure and tone? Do they include real-world people, events, stories, and examples to help connect with their audiences? What kinds of emotions do they illicit from their readers or viewers? How do they create and illicit these emotions? And then, you should compare every writer/speaker with the two others using Comparison/Contrast strategy.

The essay will be five (7) pages long and observe the standard MLA guidelines. Also, because you will be doing research, you will need to include a Bibliography/Works Cited plus In-Text Citations to show your research sources.

You have to follow this pattern:

A-Intro includes:

1-Hook: it should be a very strong hook that will grab the reader.(“Hook,” first impression, establish high level of emotion and drama)

2- Context: You will talk in general about Covid-19 and cite the personalities that have discussed the topic and you may include their articles and books or the places where they have given their speeches. Also, you might give some statistics about the outbreak.

3- Thesis: Social distancing, face covering and quarantine are the most effective tools to stop the spread of covid-19 and keep everybody safe.

B-Body: Sections with Sub-Headers to help divide the Body of the essay into smaller, manageable, logical units

1-Bio / background of personality number 1.

2- Language that personality number 1 has used to convince his audience.

3- Composition (personality number 1)

4- Storytelling (personality number 1)

5-Bio / background of personality number 2.

6- Language that personality number 2 has used to convince his audience.

7- Composition (personality number 2)

8- Storytelling (personality number 2)

9-Bio / background of personality number 3.

10- Language that personality number 3 has used to convince his audience.

11- Composition (personality number 3)

12- Storytelling (personality number 3)

C-Conclusion that does more than provide simple summary, give your opinion (agree with those personalities), you might add some refutation. Add something new related to covid-19.
