There are no more reasons for this war to continue in Vietnam. Soldiers are dying and being critically injured in the middle of the jungle just so the government can cover its own tail and try to save face. This war on Communism has been clouded and misguided from the beginning. There are no real goals set for our boys while they are fighting there, they seem to just be left out there to their own devices having to decide what they must do in order to survive. This is just another proxy war fought against the Community powers like Russia. Causing chaos and death in Vietnam is unfair to the people of Vietnam and unfair to the men and women being sent their to die.
Make no mistake, this is a war against communism, and we will not lose. We are in a global power conflict against communism, and if we don’t support south Vietnam and its quest for a democratic Vietnam. We have already seen this kind of conflict before in Korea. We have an obligation to stand up and help by any means necessary and defeat communist North Vietnam.
The Viet Cong will destroy Vietnam if they win. We will see communism destroy yet another country, as it has North Korea. We will also see communism take over more and more countries in Asia. We must fight!
Anti-Vietnam War,
It feels as though the United States just ended the World Wars and we are right back at it. When does it end? Will we continue to pursue war after war and put thousands of American lives at risk? During the World Wars we made progress, we dominated goals and objectives, we had one clear goal and it was to eliminate the nazi regime. What are we fighting in Vietnam? It seems we just plunge ourselves into the jungle to be massacred. Thousands of men dying for a clouded cause. Communism? The Soviet Union is much less powerful than before. Most of these men are doing terrible things to the innocent people of Vietnam. More women and children are dying than actual viet cong. We need to save our money, assets, and time and pull these men back. This is a gross mis-use of time.
