Please read this article closely and describe how Alexie seeks to inspire those around him. Many American Indians live in isolation on reservations and there are a number of social problems in these communities. Please present some of the negative aspects of life on the reservation but also address the positive and inspirational qualities of Sherman Alexie and the message he seeks to deliver. Make 2 to 3 very specific connections to the text. What does the author think saved his life? Produce a written response of about two paragraphs.
