Instructions:

  • Watch the video presentation of members of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon.
  • Find an open virtual meeting to attend – AA, Al-Anon, Al-a-Teen, Narcotic’s Anonymous, Overeater’s Anonymous…..any of these types of supportive meeting
  • After the meeting, reflect on your thoughts. Compare and contrast prior ideas and what you thought the meeting would be like to how it was.
  • Answer each of the following questions:

  • What was the focus topic for the meeting you attended?
  • Explain how the meeting was structured (facilitator guided, loosely structured, etc.).

  • How comfortable would you be (after the meeting) referring a client to this type of support?
