  1. Bomb scenes are sometimes very large crime scenes. Locate a news article, summarize it, and post it. Please make sure that you don’t use the same article that another classmate has used.

  2. Choose a drug and describe the procedures used to collect and preserve drug evidence. Try to come up with a unique drug that your classmates haven’t used

  3. How would you handle a Sexual Assault Case, from start to finish?  Describe the steps. What do you think there should be in a Sexual Assault kit? What should be included in a medical examination in a rape case? How is this procedure different than any other case?

  4. You’re called to a Burglary scene and the house is a MESS.  All the drawers in the bedrooms are pulled out, the televisions and the computers are gone. As a Crime Scene Technician and the lead investigator, where do you begin? Describe the interview and processing from start to finish.

  5. What signs indicate a struggle by the victim? What does the struggle indicate to the investigator? If the victim dies, what do you do to the hands?

  6. Determining the time of death is very important in a homicide investigation. Discuss how changes in the eyes can offer information on time of death.
