Exam Coverage
The exam covers the following chapters
- All Chapters – comprehensive (with emphasis on Ch’s 4 – 10)
- Any technical issues during the exam you MUST contact MYLab tech support ONLY
- You should review the MyLab troubleshooting guide posted on our course brightspace site since the beginning of the term before hand
Exam Format
- Exam will be in MyAccountingLab, but since it will be in ‘test’ mode, it will have the following differences from the online assignments:
- 1 Attempt per test
- 1 Attempt per question
- No online hints or aides
- Problem solving type questions from all chapters
- The exam questions will be similar to those on your online quizzes and midterm exam.
- 22 questions most of which are of an algorithmic format along with a few m/c and bonus ques
Exam Writing Suggestions
- Time management is critical in order to finish the exam
- Partial marks will be given for those sections of a question that are correct
- Sign in a few minutes early to ensure that you are ready for the start time which is when the exam will open (not before this time).
Study Suggestions
- Since this is an online exam, in addition to practicing the problems by hand (hand-writing the solutions) you should also practice the online practice problems in MyAccountingLab.
- If you need additional practice, review the demonstration problems and chapter problems listed in the syllabus
- Review Topics in all Chapters
