I’m working on a english test / quiz prep and need guidance to help me learn.
I have 3 free response questions that requires the length of “an essay” to successfully fulfill the criterias of the rubric. Each question will involve reading one or several texts and interpreting it and writing about it in the “essay” The first question question is an argument essay where you will create an evidence based argument that responds to a given topic. The second question is a synthesis essay where after reading 6-7 texts about a topic, you will compose an argument that combines and cites at least 3 of the sources to support your thesis. The third question is a rhetorical analysis essay where you will read a nonfiction text and analyze how the writer’s language choices contribute to the intended meaning and purpose of the text.
