More specifically, the assignment will use some of the key figures presented in Chapter Six of the text (6.2 and 6.7) and analyze the Sunset Graphics case presented throughout the chapter. You will write a short paper (between 600 – 1,000 words) that addresses the three topics below:
a. Recall that type images apply guidelines, constraints, and descriptive information, as well as categorizing the economic resources, events, and agents for a business process. Figure 6.7 shows two examples of type images for Sunset Graphics. Identify other possible type images that could be added to the diagram to help Sunset’s managers manage the purchases and payments process.
b. Some larger companies and government entities issue contracts for major purchases and then issue specific purchase orders to their contractors according to the terms of the contract. The contract can specify prices and payment terms as well as other administrative procedures. How would the use of contracts affect the standard process flow as shown in Figure 6.2? How would it affect the UML class diagram for the purchases and payments process?
c. Sunset Graphics often buys inventory after receiving a sales order from the customer. Suppose you were asked to prepare one UML class diagram that combines both the sales and collection process and the purchases and payments process. What would be shared among those processes? What would be unique to each process? Why?
For each of these topics, write a full narrative that provides an overview/discussion of the scenario (without listing the assignment instructions) and then answer the questions. Each answer should be 200-400 words, use outside sources, and conform to APA writing requirements.
