Effective/Developing: The summary effectively provides the reader with an understanding of the ethical concerns, contingencies, and problem(s), but has left out a minor detail or two that could influence the decision making process.

Less Effective/Introductory: The summary is sufficient, but could be improved by providing more detail to the reader in order for him/her to have a strong understanding of the possible ethical concerns, contingencies, and problem(s) that are in place.

Poor: The summary is cursory and does not provide enough background for the reader to determine what ethical concerns may be in place, the contingencies that may be affecting the situation, and potential solutions to this case study.

Absent/Missing: The case study does not address this area

Advanced: A thorough description of all of the problems that have arisen as a result of the ethical issues described in the scenario is provided.

Effective/Developing: A description of the major problem(s) that must be addressed is discussed, but is not discussed in detail or leaves out some other relevant issues of importance.

Less Effective/Introductory: One or more of the main problems with the scenario are not identified or the level of discussion does not demonstrate an understanding of the issues at hand.

Poor: The most important issues are not addressed or are only touched on briefly, demonstrating a lack of understanding of why these ethical issues are of importance.

Absent/Missing: The case study does not address this area
