Hello I want to do an essay about understanding fears and i have includes the article for reading and each of the article is based on different fears such as as fear of sexuality’s and fear contagion and fear of lose of self ( losing our sanity / morality )
- Pick a fictional story. Don’t choose a real historical event because that wasn’t necessarily created with the purpose to entertain.
- Only pick ONE artifact. Avoid trying to compare multiple stories or a genre.
- The prompt is asking you to analyze your artifact – not retell the story. Your thesis (your purpose) should be to show how the scary story reveals a fear (of losing our sanity, of becoming a bad person, of contagion, or fear of our sexuality). Your goal is to be persuasive and use examples from the story and the course readings to prove it. Think of just providing a paragraph summary early in your essay (so your readers know what the story is about) and use the rest of the essay to prove your ideas with solid AXES paragraphs.
