•The text states that the growing town “brings with it alternative sources of jobs”. This means that as more and more people move to an area, more jobs will be created in jobs other than just mining. For example, the people who move there will need homes. These homes will need to be built and so jobs will become available in the construction (building) industry in order to build these homes.
