Discuss the assigned story from your course reader. The answer for each question need to be thoughtful, honest, interesting, and insightful. 100-200words for each question.
- How believable are the characters? With which character do you identify? Which specific character details have stayed with you, and why?
- Did anything surprise you about a character? (Be specific, and use the craft terminology we’ve covered, such as round vs. flat and dynamic vs. static.)
- Protagonist: What does the protagonist want? Is the protagonist active or passive? What makes the protagonist sympathetic or unsympathetic?
- What would be “out of character” for the protagonist? (In other words, what would he or she most likely never do?)
- What motivates the antagonist? Is the antagonist likable even though that character may be trying to prevent the character from achieving the goal?
- Please read and discuss “How I Left Ned” by Sherri Flick.
