200 word satire

Dear students,

1. The exercise is: a satire on a topic of your choice; 200 words minimum. Please do not write one about an OSU person, however, and please keep it clean and classroom appropriate. Let us avoid OSU, politics and religion. I explain why in my teaching video. Make sure you have a clear ‘bubble explodes’ moment. My video explains this.

2. The link to the YouTube satire video below. I found it useful to turn on the closed captions/subtitles.

3. The students’ satire dropbox in Carmen is open to await your uploads. Look at the top of the Assignments page.

4. Save your document as docx or pdf. I cannot open ‘pages’ and ‘word’ and other types of files. Turnitin, a plagiarism checker, is on for this exercise.
