I’ll take the opportunity part. Kindly, I’d like someone to make a professional presentation consisting of a couple of slides of two opportunities and have them cited please.

Cabin Waste in the Airline Industry:

  1. Background/history:
    1. As the world’s middle class grows, more people are traveling via airlines, which means an increase in not only carbon emissions and also cabin waste (National Geographic, 2017)
    2. According to the International Air Transportation Association (IATA), “the average airline passenger leaves behind about three pounds of waste each flight” (Rueb, 2019)
      1. Airlines generate about 6.7 million tons of cabin waste each year
    3. Cabin Waste definition
      1. Plastics and food waste
      2. Everything adds up
        1. Plastic wrap, cutlery, cups, stirrers, trays, containers, disposable headphones; paper handouts; cardboard,napkins; food
      3. According to the IATA, 20 to 30% of the total cabin waste is untouched food and drink that is either thrown in landfills or incinerated (Paddison, 2020)
