Need two questions answered by tomorrow evening. 300 or more words for each question please. Appreciate the help. Thank you.

Question 1:

In discrete mathematics, a graph is a very different mathematical object than a graph found in algebra. These new types of graphs show up in lots of places such as network topologies, mind maps, communication paths, data structures, etc. More are discussed in the textbook. By adding arrows, labels, weights, colors, etc., we can expand even further the number of applications.

Choose one application of graphs and describe that application. Explain what the vertices represent and what the edges represent. Does your graph have any annotations such as colors, arrows, weights, etc?

Be sure to cite your sources.

Question 2:

A tree is a graph with the additional properties of being connected and acyclic. Trees are often used in data structures, decision modeling, combinatorics, natural language processing, etc. More applications are discussed in the textbook.

Find one application of trees and describe that application. Explain what the vertices represent and what the edges represent. Do the leaves of your tree represent anything special?

Be sure to cite your sources.
