Identify an organizational unit of manageable size (e.g., a small business, or a division in a larger corporation). Apply your knowledge about IT and business processes to identify one candidate business process and reengineer it.The plan would specify how you change the candidate business process and how the new business process can be more efficient than before.
A useful way to structure your research and project results is the following.
1. Introduce the context: the organizational unit of analysis, its products, markets, mission.
2. Discuss one business process (how it works currently)
3. Develop and justify your proposed new business process. What technologies should be introduced? What applications will you use, and how will you reengineer the old business process?
4. Summary.
The report of the project will be at least 15 pages (Double Space) including references, title page, and appendix.
